Theme of the series

I think one of the themes of this series is sacrifice since there were many of them along the story. A sacrifice make a huge deal because they remind us that one life means an important thing, even though its only one. In the very beginning, Katniss sacrifice her life to save her sister in the hunger games. She did not want her sister to die so young age. One change can make the difference in the story. However, after the hunger games ended, things should settle down already. Instead, she and Peeta rebelled against the capitol by trying to eat the poisoned berries. In addition, Gale is rebelling and was whipped in town so Katniss had to stop it and was injured. At different times of the story, Katniss have to repeat her sacrifice to take down the capitol. In the hunger games, Rue had gave up something big, her life to destroy the Career Tributes supply of food and that helped Katniss to trying to win the hunger games.
