Mocking Jay... Rushed?

The Hunger Games are most definitly my favorite series. I love the first two books and the beggining of Mocking Jay but towards the end I feel that its a little bit rushed. I think that the author could have added more detail. It was also really suprising that Prim ended up dying. I feel that it was a bad idea to have Prim die seeing that she was the only reason Katniss had entered the Hunger Games in the first place. Since the author did choose to have Prim die. Maybe she could have backed it up a little and show why she did it. I also feel that she could have added in a little more about Katniss and Petta's marrige. It has always been between Gale and Petta but seemed like she might have just picked the name "Petta" out of a hat instead of really loving him. Do you guys think that the end of the series was a litttle rushed?

  1. Sometimes I think that authors leave something vague in order to get the reader to think more deeply. It is the more complex books (and in my opinion the better books) that don't spell everything out for their readers. As for Prim, what does her dying mean to Katniss? How does losing her, who she has always fought for redefine her?

  2. I really get your opinion but I am not someone who likes sad endings. I feel that Katniss entered the games in the first place to save her sister and since she died it didn't seem that worth it, yes she saved a lot of other people but Prim is the main reason for her.
